I almost don't want to leave this review. The lines are already long! But this delightful, friendly, family-owned place deserves a great review. Excellent selection and service that always goes above and beyond. Don't let the location fool you. This is my go to for grab-and-go sushi -- just order ahead to avoid the wait.

Ambiance: Similar to a laundromat at 2 in the morning.
Service: Friendlier than you'd expect from a place where you pick up your order at the window and get your own water from a plastic jug.
Food: I should mention I don't actually like fish. I WANT to like fish, but most of the time I eat vegetarian rolls when we go for sushi. Sushi Town doesn't have much in the way of vegetarian sushi. They have several vegetable rolls, but no tempura vegetable rolls and very little tofu, so you end up hungry again within an hour.
What they do have is the best fish sushi I've ever had. Mind you, I don't mean sashimi or even salmon rolls. I'm not that brave. On my quest to learn to like fish, I decided to start with a spicy tuna roll and a create-your-own shrimp tempura roll (Side note: How come all the shrimp tempura rolls in A2 have krab salad in them?) with cucumber, avocado, and eel sauce.
I ate every single piece of both rolls. The DIY roll was exactly what I expected, but the spicy tuna roll surprised me. It was raw red tuna sliced into chunks the way you usually see in plain tuna rolls. Then, there are little dollops of spicy sauce (Sriracha) on top of each piece. The result is much fresher and more pleasant tasting than the usual tuna salad version.
I knocked off a star because they offer free miso soup (which I don't care for) but not free house salad (which I do), because I'd like to see more vegetarian offerings., and because of the atmosphere. -

Honestly did not have high expectations for this local sushi joint but don't let the rundown exterior of the establishment push you away!
Ordered a spicy salmon roll and a Cobra roll and was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sushi rice and fish. Would definitely come again the next time I have a sushi craving! -

Continues to never disappoint. This time I got two yellowtail nigiris instead of one, which never seem to lose their magic. I also keep forgetting that their spicy rolls are actually spicy... Note to self: get the tuna roll instead of spicy one (wound up scooping off the dot of sriracha on each one :( ). Delicious nonetheless. I also tried the alaskan jewel for the first time - this roll is as delicious as it is pretty - the ikura on top gives each piece a nice salinity too.
Will definitely come again! -

Judging from review and what my peers told me, i expect a lot from the restaurant. However, suhi turn out in a way that lower than my expectation. The food was served really slow. We wait for almost an hour and finished the food in 10 minutes even though it wasnt crowded there.
